Anyone can have a blog. Just because you write something and post it to the interwebs doesn’t mean people read it or care that it’s online. I’ve had a personal blog for years and I told myself I was really documenting for my own benefit and I rarely check the stats to see if people ARE even reading it.
Even when Denver Natural Mom started, I hesitated to tell my own parenting stories. I didn’t want it to be about me. I wanted it to be about the community. However over a few months, I realized that I couldn’t be a faceless name behind this website…I had to be Kathryn, the mom and partner trying to do her best. I had to be real and to do that I had to tell you all about myself and why I’m here.
So to be asked to write something for Kim at Faceted Media and her blog felt really special.
Here’s the post where I come clean about all the self-doubt I felt starting this website and how I’m (attempting to) juggle it all: http://facetedmedia.com/natural-moms-need-nurtured-too/
